Open Position: Technical Writer Position

Position Summary: We are seeking a full-time or part time technical writer to help us freshen up the Gumballs.com website.
Technical Writing Responsibilities
• Create fun and original product and category descriptions for the Gumballs.com Website.
• Research and write blog posts.
• Help manage Gumballs.com Social Profile.
• Be willing to "roll up your sleeves" to help out with all aspects of the business.
Position Requirements:
• High school diploma required.
• Prior writing experience.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
• Fast (50+ wpm) and accurate typing skills.
• Strong proficiency with software applications such as Outlook, Word and Excel.
• Strong problem-solving skills and able to make quick decisions.
• Attention to detail and accuracy.
• Self-motivated, independent and team oriented.
• Great people skills and a positive attitude!
• Highly productive, hard working and highly organized.
• Work standard office hours Monday-Friday with a daily half hour lunch break.
Preferred Skills & Experiences:
• Bachelor's degree in English, Communications, Business, Marketing or related field.
• Prior ecommerce or website technical writing experience.
• Photoshop and graphic design experience.
• Experience with commercial shopping cart solutions (eg, Magento, Yahoo Stores, GoECart)
• Bilingual (Spanish preferred).
