Dubble Bubble "Original 1928" Pink Gumballs 1"/850 Count Case
In 1928, when gum was invented, gum was Hot Pink. That’s why the manufacturer branded them as the “original 1928” gumballs. They are no longer a bright pink color with dark ink logo on each one and an “original” flavor that some people think resembles Pepto Bismol of today. Instead, by eliminating some color compounds from the ingredient list, these gumballs are now more like a light pink, salmon color and some of our customers report the flavor has shifted, too.

Ingredients Update
As of September, 2023: Some U.S. states are in the process of prohibiting the use of Red Dye #3 and Titanium Dioxide in consumer products. While these ingredients are generally recognized as safe (GRAS) by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration, Dubble Bubble will be removing these ingredients from any items that contain them.
All product colors with a red component appear substantially different and flavor may be affected. Gumballs.com does not guarantee that gumballs with the new recipe will appear or taste the same as gumballs previously ordered under the same SKU prior to the change in ingredients.

There is no such thing as original 1928 Pink dubble bubble. They are no longer pink and they are just sugar. No flavor. They .... told me that's the way it is. Some cockamamie about European food standards! ....
